Annam, French Protectorate (Vietnam). Imperial Order of the Dragon of Annam, V Class Knight Hold 1914 with the 21st Infantry(Ordre imprial du Dragon d'Annam i Nam Long Tinh Huy Chng). Instituted in 1886. Five piece construction, in bronze gilt with red and navy blue enamels, locally manufactured, measuring 49. 5 mm (w) x 69. 5 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, chipping and wear evident in the navy blue enamels on the centrepiece, on its original Military Division ribbon, very fine. Footnote: The Imperial Order of the Dragon of Annam was instituted on March 14, 1886
